A three-year IT outsourcing contract extension has been signed between Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) and Australian financial services company AMP.
The deal is reported to be worth $150 million.
Lee Barnett, chief information officer at AMP, said that focus on relationship management was key to the successful further association between the two companies.
'After a rigorous review process, CSC was awarded a contract extension due to its service track record, demonstrated in particular over the last two years, competitive pricing and CSC's ability to adapt to AMP's business needs,' according to Barnett.
The contract includes CSC providing desktop, network and mainframe maintenance and support to AMP. It will run until May 2007.
In a statement, Van B Honeycutt – chairman and chief executive officer at CSC – said the extension was evidence of its experience in 'complex outsourcing situations'.
