Inks new distribution deal.

HP has added Bluechip Infotech to its distributor portfolio as part of plans to bring on new resellers and expand market presence.

The partnership expands HP’s distributor base to five, adding to Ingram Micro, Dicker Data, Synnex and Sektor. Bluechip Infotech will carry HP’s entire Personal Systems Group (PSG) portfolio consisting of notebooks, desktops, monitors and digital signage.

The company declined to comment on which resellers and customers it will service with the new product range.

HP is hoping the partnership will grow its presence in the SMB and education markets. HP's Australian channel director Margrith Appleby said in a statement the reseller recruitment campaign was in response to increased market demand.

“2012 will be an exciting year for HP and our partners. We have new products featuring industry leading innovation and we want to ensure that our partner network is strong and our resellers, both current and new, can benefit from our new range and growth goals.”
