Sophos has named Stuart Fisher its new managing director across the Asia Pacific, with former MD Rob Forsyth bowing out to take on a non-executive director role.
Fisher will remain based in Singapore, where he previously served as the security vendor’s VP of sales for the region. Prior to his joining Sophos in 2010, Fisher held the role of vice president at SAP subsidiary Sybase.
After nearly 11 years leading Sophos’s APAC operations Forsyth said the time was right to usher in some new talent.
“Stuart has the creative energy and passion for this. Over the last 15 months, Stuart has overseen the Asia Pacific sales function, and his drive for growth has served the company, the resellers and our customers well,” Forsyth said in a statement.
“He has a strong and dedicated existing team and I will be remaining in the business to support him. He has both my congratulations and best wishes.”
Forsyth’s new role involves marketing and publicity for Sophos across the Asia Pacific.
