Sony Tablet S users will be able to access data on a full-sized SD card directly for the first time, plus both tablets will get Small Apps that make launching common apps easier than ever.

Sony has also revamped the camera app to improve editing and slideshows.

Whether it’ll be enough to give Sony’s tablet sales a lift remains to be seen. The company is expected to announce its 2012 line-up of tablets in September.
