Trades disaster recovery for stationery.

Disaster recovery and storage specialist Acronis has confirmed its A/NZ and Pacific general manager Karl Sice has left the company after less than 18 months in the job.

Sice left the US company earlier this month to take up a senior sales role with online stationer Staples, reports The Register.

Sice’s LinkedIn profile boasts a record of achievement at Acronis which included recruiting some 1000 partners during his brief tenure, as well as leading one of the company's top-three regions throughout a period of 121 percent growth quarter-on-quarter and 116 percent growth in billings.

Acronis' Asia-Pacific president Bill Taylor-Mountford is looking after Sice's former A/NZ and Pacific turf while his replacement is being sought.

Prior to joining Acronis in February 2011 Sice held senior roles with several US technology companies including Gartner, Sun Microsystems and Dell.
