Samsung looks set to unveil the second version of its Galaxy Note smartphone in October to compete with the expected release of Apple's iPhone 5.
Samsung is currently developing the large-screen smartphone model with a display exceeding five inches, reported MK Business.
The Galaxy Note 2 is expected to include a 5.5in 1680x1050 unbreakable pane display (UPD), quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, and an 12MP camera, competing with the iPhone 5's expected quad-core A6 processor and 4in retina display
Both Apple and Samsung are yet to comment on future smartphone plans.
