Nokia will unveil its Windows Phone 8-based smartphones at its Nokia World conference next month, with the first devices expected to be Lumias.
The conference will take place on September 5th. According to Bloomberg, the Windows Phone 8 smartphones will be launched then, in time for the Christmas shopping season.
The reported date puts the WinPho 8 devices out to the public before smartphone giant Apple's reported September 21 unveiling of its next-generation iPhone.
Noka declined to comment on the report.
Microsoft will officially its new multi-platofmr operating system, Windows 9, on Octboer 26th.
