Samsumg is working on a fast and bright 11.8in tablet in what is said to be the first true iPad rival.
The rumoured P10 tablet is expected to launch later this year, toting a retina display-matching 2560x1600px screen and Samsung's new Exynos 5 Dual processor.
Apple’s iPad fits 264ppi into a 9.7in display, while the P10 is expected to include 256ppi into the larger 11.8in screen. Samsung claims its Exynos 5 dual-core chip is twice as fast as the current A9.
Samsung is yet to comment on the reports and it is unknown whether the tablet will run on the upcoming Windows 8 platform or on Google's Android OS.
