Crazy John's has implemented a billing system which allows customers to view information in 'near time'.

The new billing system will grant its mobile customers access to full usage information.

The system, which was developed in-house, has the capability to provide “close coupled” integration of a real-time billing system directly to another party’s core network.

This means calls made on the Crazy John’s network are being handled directly by the Crazy John’s network rather than the host operator’s network.

The “converged” billing system is also designed to support both prepaid and postpaid phone services.

According to the retailer, this involved integrating the new Crazy John’s billing system with the operator’s core network infrastructure for voice, messaging and data services allowing service management to be performed in real-time within the Crazy John’s system.
