Simms bags Italian PC accessories for Australia

Milan-based notebook bags and PC accessories, Tucano, will enter the Australian market following the appointment of Simms International as its sole distributor.

Simms International is an Apple distributor and supplier of IT products and services to the retail, reseller, system-integrator, distribution and OEM markets.

Danny Moore, managing director of Simms International, said, under the agreement Simms will offer its sales, marketing, technical support and logistics expertise.

“Its strong focus on edgy, premium quality Italian design will have great sales appeal across the Apple world and the broader PC market,” he said.

“Tucano is a natural match for Simms’s growing portfolio.”

Albert Lin, sales development at Tucano APAC said it has been looking to introduce its bags to the Australian market in line with its international expansion.

“After doing research and travelling to Australia to find the right distributor to represent us, we chose Simms as our partner because it has both the channels and the strong retail background,” he said.

“Simms has the right approach and access to key players such as Apple Premium Resellers and Apple Authorised resellers, as well as mass-merchant retailers and independent stores.”
