Kordia Solutions has inked a long-term deal with Nokia-Siemens Networks for network engineering and maintenance of Vodafone Hutchison Australia's (VHA) mobile network.
The New Zealand-based firm reported the win in financial results yesterday.
"Kordia has signed a critical long-term network engineering and maintenance agreement with Nokia Siemens Network, supporting the VHA mobile network across Australia," the company said.
VHA outsourced service management for key parts of its mobile network to Nokia-Siemens Networks (NSN) in a seven-year deal in May.
NSN said at the time it would combine Vodafone and Hutchison 3's two existing operations organisations, consolidate the two core networks and manage "a number of VHA's third-party providers".
Ready for NBN - or an alternative
Kordia said yesterday it had been able to "diversify further in Australia" with contract wins from wireless ISP vividwireless and Telstra in the year ended 30 June 2010.
The company was also "well-positioned in Australia for work on the National Broadband Network rollout or any alternative should there be a change of government," Kordia Group chief executive Geoff Hunt said.
