Google's first tablet has leaked just days before the internet giant is expected to unveil it at its I/O event on Wednesday.

The 7in Nexus 7 tablet will launch in Australia in July, according to a leaked document sighted by Gizmodo Australia.

Built by Asus, the tablet will come with the first example of Android Jelly Bean OS andwill be supercharged by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor running at 1.3GHz, a GeForce 12-core GPU, and 1GB RAM.

The multi-touch IPS display will run a 1280x800 resolution. It will also sport NFC for Beam sharing and Google Wallet functions, as well as a 1.2MP front facing camera, and nine hours of battery life.

The 8GB version will cost US$200, and a 16GB version will be available for US$250 – making it a big competitor for Amazon’s Kindle Fire.
