Ingram Micro has added to its print portfolio with the signing of a partnership with laser printer vendor Ricoh in Australia.
The deal makes Ingram the sole distributor of Ricoh’s laser printer products locally.
Ingram Micro’s roster of print clients includes the likes of Fuji Xerox, Epson and Lexmark.
The distributor told CRN it was used to handling multiple brands in the same field.
“This gives our customers true choice, best of breed solutions and the ability to select a brand/product that best suits their requirements and the needs of their customers," a spokesman said.
Ricoh Australia’s managing director Les Richardson said in a statement he had been swayed by Ingram Micro’s focus on adding value beyond the box.
“At Ricoh our value proposition is to help our customers print and manage their documents for less – less waste, less cost, less complexity and less CO2.
"This holistic approach of moving beyond the ‘box’ sets us apart from our competitors.”
