Acer has unveiled its Iconia A110 tablet, targeted squarely at the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire.
The 7in A110 runs on a Tegra 3 processor and touts 8GB storage, 1GB RAM and a 2MP front camera. It will soon be updated to the latest version of Google's Android operating system, Jelly Bean.
The Iconia A110 matches the Nexus 7 spec for spec but also boasts a microSD card port.
Acer is yet to announce regional availability but said the tablet will launch at the end of September. It is expected to cost around $A265.
The tablet will join Google's Nexus 7 and Amazon's Kindle Fire at the lower end of the tablet market. The Kindle Fire is not available in Australia. The Nexus 7 arrived locally late last month and retails for $319 from retailer and $299 direct from Google.
