PC sales overcome economic woes Despite a sagging economy, PC sales have remained steady this year, say analysts.

Mobile handset manufacturer Palm's long-term plan has been stressed with a $43 million loss this quarter resulting from compensation and restructuring costs and growing competition from rivals RIM and Apple.

Also making news today, Microsoft has announced that Vista's sucessor, Windows 7, is due January 2010 - probably.

And in green news, a new survey suggests that IT professionals are losing interest in Green IT.
