Wanted: Single IT service provider for DAFF Australian IT service providers will have the opportunity to bid for a mid-range government contract, with the Australian Government’s Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) on the verge of releasing a Request For Tender.

Opportunities exist for the channel with the news that the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry will be soon be issuing a Request for Tender for the provision of managed desktop, desktop LAN, midrange, Storage Area Network and helpdesk services.

In other news, sales of customer relationship management software have risen dramatically, driven in part by the take-up of software-as-a-service offerings, according to analyst group Gartner.
