Server virtualisation pioneer VMware has replaced co-founder Diane Greene as president and chief executive, replacing her with Paul Maritz, a former Microsoft executive.

In other news, Fujitsu's vice president of business development has dismissed solid state hard drives as pointless and says his outfit will not be making any for at least two years.
