The centre adds to two existing facilities in Sydney and Brisbane. Data#3 managing director John Grant told CRN the 'volume-oriented' centre would be used for the deployment of tablets, laptops, PCs, small servers, routers and networking devices.
Grant said despite common opinion such a process is complex: "Getting the multitude of equipment you need to buy from multiple suppliers into a place you can put it together, reconfiguring it with the right equipment, and sending it out to customers."
The Victorian Integration Centre came to life thanks to successful relationships with several Melbourne partners for volume procurement agreements, Grant said.
A "large lump of space" in the centre is dedicated to warehousing.
The centre has created 25 new jobs for the state.
Grant indicated a Perth option was on the cards for the future.

“Braeside is home to a diverse range of businesses, and provides an assortment of jobs to the region. Data#3 brings significant value to the area,” Wreford said.
