Intel took to Sydney's Bondi Beach as part of an Asia-Pacific 'social experiment' that offered ultrabooks to contestants.
Various objects were buried under the sand, including ten ultrabooks from several vendors including HP.

Participants were given metal detectors to aid their search. Some participants were so keen they simply dug with their hands.

Several discovered something and got excited...
Only to find it wasn't quite what they were hoping for.
In the end, there could only be ten winners. More than 100 people participated.
