Three days, 4000 delegates- Cisco proves its loyalty to partners.

Cisco last week held its 16th annual global partner conference with over 4000 delegates in San Diego. CEO John Chambers detailed how the massive cost cutting and restructuring measures initiated last year have begun to pay off.
The theme of the week was "in it to win".
Cisco highlighted the importance of its channel, making two key announcements, including a new consolidated partner program as well as an extension of its partner-led program announced last year.
Video and cloud were named as key trends for Cisco in the coming year. Chambers spoke of video as "the new voice", and confirmed Cisco would soon go live with its Cloud Connect platform.
Cisco's opening ceremonies showcased the different locations that Cisco partners represent, following the theme of the Olympic ceremony. Cisco is building the network for this year's London games.
Senior VP of Cisco's worldwide partner organisation Keith Goodwin and SVP Wendy Bahr spoke about the year that was as well as Cisco's plans for the year ahead, focusing changes to Cisco's partner strategy.
Over 400 delegates attended. 7000 others logged in online.
Entertainment included the singing group Pentatonix (pictured) and the We Are Heroes Dance Group.
