Toshiba's new Satellite ultrabook comes with a two-tone metallic chassis with brushed metal and aluminium.
The notebook boasts backlit keys, three USB 3.0 ports, and a 'sleep & charge' port for phone and camera charging while on standby.
Most significantly, Toshiba has included its PeakShift technology in the Satellite, meaning users can save on power costs by customising the notebook to switch from battery to mains power during peak times. Toshiba told CRN the technology would be included in all its following notebook releases.
The Satellite runs on Intel's latest third-gen Ivy Bridge Core i5 processor and Intel 400 HD graphics chip.
It is available from next week at $1499 from all major retailers.
