Denman scores top job at Polycom

Industry veteran Gary Denman is the new managing director for Polycom Australia and New Zealand. Denman joins with more than 18 years experience with Microsoft in the UK, Australia and more recently Malaysia, where he was enterprise group sales director in Kuala Lumpur.

Smith fills Symantec APJ spot

Symantec.cloud lead for Australia, Brenton Smith, will take responsibility for APAC and Japan channels, following the surprise departure of his predecessor David Dzienciol early last month.

Intel bolsters A/NZ leadership

Intel has made two key promotions to its Australia and New Zealand leadership team. Anna Torres (pictured) has been appointed national marketing manager, and V.R Rajkumar has been named national reseller channel manager. Torres has been with Intel for nine years and held the position of Intel A/NZ PR manger since 2007. Raj will manage Intel's local channel and branded distribution sales team. He joined Intel in 2000, based in India, before moving to Australia with Intel in 2005.

New hires push CA's revamp

CA Technologies' new approach to the market has prompted a string of appointments. Three new sales directors have been installed along with a new vice president of services for A/NZ.

Kevin Brough will lead the telco and media team, Craig Williams takes on the BSFI team leadership, and Richard Kulkarni (pictured) joins as the head of the CSG division. Mark Bennett has also come on board to lead services for A/NZ.

Websense names manager

Twenty-year IT veteran Gerry Tucker has been tapped for Websense's country manager Australia and New Zealand, based in Sydney. Tucker joined the company last year as regional sales manager for A/NZ.

Collins steps up

WatchGuard Technologies has promoted Rob Collins to senior sales engineer for Asia Pacific. Collins joined WatchGuard two years ago and previously held the position of A/NZ systems engineer, southern region.

Acronis focuses on partnerships

Acronis has made two appointments to bolster its business development in Australia and alliance partnerships across APAC. Simon Bills (pictured), formerly in sales since joining Acronis four years ago, has been promoted to the new position of alliances lead for APAC. Dean Schroder has been named end user business development manager, Australia North region.
