Up close: Samsung's SUR40

Meet the 40in LED touchscreen display.

Fujifilm has partnered with NeoProducts to release its SUR40 "Photo Booth", with 100 units deployed in Harvey Norman stores across Australia. The unit enables users to create a virtual photo book which they are then able to print out.
The standard SUR40 model with 'legs'. The SUR40 display is fully customisable and can be deployed in a myriad of designs, as seen in the next slide. The legs model retails for just under $13,000.
NeoProducts has also partnered with developer Object Consulting for the coffee table SUR40. This model is targeted at the tourism industry and is currently in testing with Tourism NSW and Destination NSW.
The PixelSense technology allows recognition of 52 touch points. It can also react to objects placed on the display. Each pixel on the 1080p screen is powered by an infrared camera.
The SUR40 as customised by Nsquared is targeted at the education, hospitality and business markets. It is currently deployed in several universities around Australia and is under testing at Telstra.
