Datacom appoints comms director
New Zealand-headquartered IT service and solutions provider Datacom has appointed Auckland-based communications professional Erica Lloyd as its communications director. Lloyd's background is in the film and television industries, broadcast media and banking. She will oversee brand, communication and marketing activity.
McAfee names A/NZ channel boss
McAfee last month announced a new channel boss, the culmination of a six-month search initiated by Gavin Struthers' departure to a global channel position. Craig Nielsen has been appointed senior director of channels and alliances for Asia Pacific. Nielsen was previously the managing director of open source provider Red Hat's New Zealand arm.
NEC builds local push
Three new executives are filling top ranks at NEC Australia- Steve Blunt as executive general manager of UC solutions, D'wayne Mitchell as executive general manager of shared services infrastructure, and Andy Hurt (pictured) as executive general manager of channel. Hurt will direct NEC's partner strategy. He was most recently Avaya A/NZ's director of operations.
DiData fills new spot
Dimension Data has promoted Hadyn Faltyn to general manager for ITO (IT outsourcing) - a newly created position. Faltyn will report to director of services Duncan Brown and has responsibility for strengthening the go-to-market strategy around ITO, managing client satisfaction and driving growth around the services-led model. Faltyn joined DiData in 1990.
Devlin joins WatchGuard
WatchGuard Technologies has a new A/NZ manager to replace Scott Robertson - Patrick Devlin. Devlin joins from Brocade as regional sales manager, following Robertson's promotion to vice president of Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
Oki Data recruits Darch
Oki Data Australia has appointed Brad Darch as marketing manager, based in Sydney. Darch has more than 15 years' experience, including his most recent nine-year gig at Epson Australia.
CaaS chief for Interactive
Interactive Intelligence has named Anant Chitale as Communications-as-a-Service manager, responsible for customer and technical support for the cloud-based contact centre solution.
Hanson steps up
Eaton Corporation's new A/NZ sales director is Jeff Hanson. Hanson was promoted from his role as sales manager for Queensland, Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea. Hanson's 20-year history in the IT and electrical industries includes a stint at Emerson Power Networks.
StoneBridge gains sales chief
StoneBridge Systems, a provider of ECM solutions, has appointed Jim Impey as southern regional sales manager. Impey is a 30-year veteran across sales, brand management and technical support.
Regional roles for Altis
Altis Consulting, specialist in business intelligence, data management and data warehousing, has recruited Katrina Pilcher (pictured) as ACT manager and Shaune Rolfe as Victoria manager. Most recently Pilcher was public sector lead in business analytics and optimisation with IBM. Rolfe's career includes stints at Commander Communications and Logica.
