HP reported this week that it has settled an ongoing patent spat with Acer..

Details were scant, but HP stated that the agreement was "confidential".

The settlement resolves claims asserted in three federal court lawsuits and two US International Trade Commission investigations between the parties.

"As a result of the settlement agreement each action will be dismissed as to the parties," HP said.
