Global marketing chief technology officer for EMC, Chuck Hollis, spoke to CRN editor Helen Frost, about the opportunities surrounding emerging Cloud Computing technology.

Gartner defines Cloud Computing as a style of computing where massively scalable IT-related capabilities are provided "as a service" using Internet technologies to multiple external customers.

"We talk to solution providers that are not only interested in reselling their cloud services but selling their own," said Hollis. "We think there's a great market for selling the enabling technology to some of the larger solution providers so they can create their own unique offerings."

He also explained that trust will be one of the strongest points for solution providers when selling cloud solutions to their customers.
