A new, non-exclusive deal will see WhiteGold Solutions as the sole distributor for Vasco in Australia.

Vasco provides authentication products for the enterprise market. Its Digipass technology has network authentication solutions for the banking and finance sectors.

Jonathan Odria, sales director at WhiteGold Solutions, said the "strong partnership" will be a winner for resellers interested in the provision of authentication and internet security solutions.

“We are extremely happy to represent VASCO and partner with the world leader in strong user authentication,” he said.

"It’s good to see a company that still listens to its customers – particularly when we have exactly the same mantra ourselves here at WhiteGold.”

WhiteGold will be rolling out training and marketing support around Vasco’s product set while the vendor's local channel manager, Gary O'Sullivan, directs its efforts towards lead generation, sales training and technical certification.

Vasco’s regional director for the Pacific, India and Japan, Dan Dica, said the distribution relationship will allow secure businesses to easily secure their sensitive information.

“We are delighted to partner with WhiteGold so all Australian businesses can benefit from the same advanced DIGIPASS strong authentication technology as used by the vast majority of Australian banks and financial institutions to secure their online banking applications,” he said.

The addition of Vasco follows recent moves by WhiteGold to branch into unified communications, WAN optimisation and storage.
