Channel partners and resellers are invited to Intermec’s inaugural APAC Developer’s Conference in Melbourne in November.

Sponsored by Microsoft, the theme of the conference is to help participants develop solutions that deliver what their Supply Chain customers require.

“We’re very excited about our first annual Developers Conference in APAC, and we are extremely proud to announce to end-users, partners and re-sellers alike that not only will you hear the latest from Intermec but you will also get information from one of the industry’s leading companies, Microsoft,” said Patricia Calleja, field marketing manager A/NZ, Intermec.

“As this is the first time Intermec have hosted such an event in this region, engineers from the Intermec corporate office will be on hand to teach the sessions and labs as well as talk to attendees individually regarding their questions,” Calleja added.

Guest speakers will be coming from the States on behalf of Intermec, Microsoft and Cisco. Registrations for the event close at the end of October.

Intermec recently released the CK3 – the first handheld with Windows Mobile 6.1 – and there will be a session focusing on this product at the conference.

It has also upgraded the CN3 to Windows Mobile 6.1, and is specifically for resellers.

Topics to be discussed at the event include the Top 20 Developer Questions, Thinking Green: Programming for Long-life Power, Building a Smart Mobile Web Application, RFID: Optimizing for Performance, the Basics and Beyond and RFID You Know You Need It.

The Intermec event, is held from Tuesday, November 11 - Wednesday, November 12 at the Stamford Plaza, Melbourne.
