Konica Minolta moves to greener pastures

Konica Minolta is upgrading its current office and warehouse to a purpose built, eco-friendly building.
Research carried out on behalf of the company’s ‘Life in Colour’ thought leadership program, found more than half of Australian professionals (62 percent) believe they would be more productive working in an eco-friendly environment, and only 6 percent rate their workplace as ‘green’.
In response to the findings, Konica Minolta chose a new building designed for a 4 star Green Star rating - a rating based on the environmental design of a building.
It has also been given a 4.5 star National Australian Built Environmental Rating System (NABERS).
“Our strong performance in Australia and future growth plans meant that we needed to reassess our current office capacity and facilities at the head office in Sydney,” said John Venett, national marketing manager Konica Minolta.
“From our own recent research we know that employees, along with customers and investors, are demanding greater environmental accountability these days - that’s why we decided to opt for a completely eco-friendly building design.”
The new building has four levels of office space and 130 car parking spaces.
It is in The Precinct Corporate Centre, 105 Delhi Road, North Ryde, 400m from the new train station, on the Epping to Chatswood rail link.
The building is in the same locality as its current HQ at Link Business Park, Macquarie Park.
Konica Minolta worked with Goodman and its advisors, LPC Australia, to plan the property transition.
