GeekIT has found a distributor for its range of IT accessories range, just two months after introducing the products to market.
The agreement with Conexus, will see Geek IT’s accessories distributed Australia-wide, with plans to take the range into the US and Asia in 2009.
Mary Henderson (pictured), CEO at GeekIT Group, said, both companies have been in dialogue for the last two months.
“When we first met it was clear that we shared similar values and were on the same page in regards to the opportunity at hand and where we wanted to take the range,” said Henderson.
“Conexus have a reseller base that is a perfect fit for the GeekIT customer.”
According to Henderson, being a boutique distributor, Conexus is very focused and understands its customer base intimately and works in partnership.
“It has an eclectic reseller/retail database,” she claimed.
“It sells into mass merchant retailers like the Myers, David Jones and specialist retailers like JB Hi Fi.
“They are dominant in the Apple reseller channel as well as overseas partnerships which will see GeekIT expand into other regions in 2009.”
Henderson claimed feedback from retailers was extremely positive with a number of retailers.
"In spite of the economic slowdown, consumer products are still on the rise. People are buying things that make them feel good,” she said.
