Internode expands Sydney office

National broadband company Internode has taken on more staff in Sydney and moved to bigger premises.
The expansion has allowed the ISP to recruit four new staff members, including; two business development managers, a technical support officer and a residential sales support officer.
Daryl Knight, national sales manager at Internode, said, the total number of staff to seven permanent workers in Sydney and 350 Australia-wide will focus on medium corporate customers.
“It also focuses our relationship on our solutions partners i.e. systems integrators that are Cisco certified,” he said.
“It seems we are hiring more staff at a time when everyone else seems to be laying off.
“We need good people to support our customers as technology opportunities present themselves to the telco market. For instance video conferencing will become more popular as people want to save money on travel.”
Knight claimed there will be more resources available to resellers on the eastern seaboard to build a solution for their end customers.
“Those solutions require design of a network and this will give them much closer linkage to Internode,” he said.
“As Internode grows, [resellers] will be able to grow with our channel program.”
