Lenovo, has signed a services contract with Orange Business Services (OBS) to connect its global sales team in 13 countries, including its Australian office in Sydney.

OBS is a divsion of Orange - owned by France Telecom - a European-based telecommunications operator.

Using the Business Acceleration suite of services from OBS, Lenovo aims to improve visibility, network management, employee productivity and performance of applications.

Lynn Lin, executive director, Global Infrastructure Service at Lenovo said in addition to Business Acceleration, Orange Business Services will provide a best-in-class solution and technical support to maximise the performance of Lenovo’s global MPLS-based VPN.

"Orange Business Services' Business Acceleration helps bring focus, control and greater speed to our applications,” she said.

"The combination of services and technology from Orange Business Services helps to enable our global sales team to focus on our customers' needs by launching services faster and more efficiently."

According to Lin, focused on application-centric networking, Business Acceleration provides a predictive end-user experience beyond the infrastructure and enables performance guarantees to end-users.

“The three phases of Business Acceleration are analysis, management and optimisation,” she said.
