Global IP Solutions, a division of Citrix Systems, has announced that the two companies have entered into an OEM licence and distribution agreement.

The deal is to provide integrated VoIP and PSTN audio conferencing in GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar.

“GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar make it possible for anyone with a PC or Mac to easily, securely and cost effectively collaborate, present information and demonstrate products at their desktop,” said Bernd Oliver Christiansen, vice president and chief technology officer Citrix Online.

“We’re pleased to have GIPS as our partner to help us deliver the highest quality audio experience to our GoToMeeting and GoToWebinar customers.”

According to Emerick Woods CEO of Global IP Solutions’, with the current economic conditions, there’s an increasing demand for unified communications and collaboration capabilities, which help to offset travel expenses.

“Citrix offers the easiest user-friendly one-click meeting service on the market to satisfy this growing demand,” he said.

“We’re delighted they selected GIPS Voice ConferenceEngine and VoiceEngine as the enabling technology for VOIP and PSTN audio conferencing, critical components in a high quality, real-time Web conferencing experience.”

Citrix GoToMeeting and Citrix GoToWebinar include GIPS Voice ConferenceEngine and VoiceEngine.

GIPS Voice ConferenceEngine handles all aspects of audio mixing and processing in a conference or collaboration environment.

GIPS’ software handles audio processing issues typical on IP networks, such as delay, jitter, packet loss, background noise and echo.
