Altech hires a new national sales manager

Altech has expanded its management team with the addition of Janto Lim as national sales manager.

Antony Sheen, managing director at Altech, said Lim agreed to join the local distributor after being approached for the position two years ago.

"I am pleased that my persistence has finally paid off," he said.

"After a busy 2008 with Altech opening an additional three offices and relocating another two, we are planning to focus on development of our sales activities in 2009."

According to Sheen, Lim will be driving some new product directions for the distributor.

Lim joins Altech after a career that spans IT and consumer electronics vendor and distribution roles.

He said the distributor has a broad product and reseller base, with a solid reputation in supporting the independent reseller channel.

"Consolidation of this will obviously be a priority," said Lim.

"We will continue to identify and develop new product opportunities."
