Westcon Group, which distributes Blue Coat, invited 40 partners to the Olympic Shooting Centre at Cecil Park in Sydney recently.

The event was held to publicise Blue Coat's Application Delivery Network, to get a better understanding of it.

The network includes visibility, acceleration and security and the session included an interactive white board session for attendees.

"Westcon Group held an event to promote awareness of Blue Coat's unique Application Delivery Network vision and strategy," said Marco Corrent, channel account manager, Blue Coat.

"We presented our partners with a detailed whiteboard presentation that outlines the three pillars of Blue Coats Application Delivery Network, Visibility, Acceleration and Security.

"Blue Coat have a unique offering and our partners are eager to understand our solution set in more detail. We delivered this training in a engaging, easy to understand format."

After the whiteboard sessions, attendees were joined by target shooting Olympic gold medallist, Russell Mark, who gave a tutorial on how to operate a competition firearm, before taking part in a clay target shooting competition.

Rodney Cox from Telstra won best shooter.

Other partners included; Ryan Benson from Alpha West, Paul Lechner and David Gabbo from Getronics, Robert Mitchel, Pure Security, Dean Morters from DiData, and Daniel Smith, KLIKON.
