Cox was recently appointed in her role in the entertainment devices division for Microsoft A/NZ.

With more than 10 years experience in retail expansion and supply chain projects in Europe and Australasia she will oversee the look and feel of Microsoft at retail stores in Australia and New Zealand.

This includes in-store aisle displays, field sales team, field merchandising team and training Microsoft retailers on all new Microsoft products and services.

She has worked for Microsoft for five years, first in her home country of Ireland supporting the EMEA markets and then in Singapore supporting the Asian markets.

Cox will reporting to Sean Davis, retail sales director.

CRN: What gets you up in the morning
Cox:
A very noisy and annoying alarm clock. But on nice sunny (non-Monday) mornings? A good run over the Harbour Bridge. Bliss.

CRN: What are you reading at the moment
Cox:
I multi-read, so I've got three books on the go: Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert, The First 90 Days by Michael Watkins and Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis - a real in-your-face biography from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers front-man.

CRN: What is your favourite food
Cox:
Since moving to Oz, I've adopted the superb new hobby of fish and chips on the beach after a swim - what a great idea. Particularly now the weather's getting cooler. Though a really good steak with a nice glass of red can't be beaten.

CRN: Philosophy on life
Cox:
Get busy living or get busy dying.

CRN: Favourite superstar and why
Cox:
My Mum. If everyone could handle budgets, people, processes and agendas half as well as her, the global economy would be a lot better off.

CRN: Favourite pastime
Cox:
Shoe shopping (Does that count).

CRN: Favourite game
Cox:
I love playing 'Lips' on my Xbox 360- a great party starter for Friday nights.

CRN: What are you listening to
Cox:
Snow Patrol's new album is great. I saw them recently (March 30th) at the Hordern Pavilion. Excellent.
