The team at Zer01, drawn largely from the accounting and auditing sector, is led by Robert Pedler, a former SAP general manager covering the Northern Region.
The Zer01 client base spans all tiers of government and the private sector, providing security, identity and access control, health, safety and environmental compliance solutions.
SAP and Zer01 will be targeting the top 200 companies in Australia with GRC solutions, including SAP's Environmental Compliance platform, which works in any software environment.
Launched in Australia in 2008 the SAP Environmental Compliance software platform enables businesses to monitor and manage their greenhouse gas emissions to ensure they comply with environmental laws, including the NGERS (National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System), the first step towards emissions trading.
"Today businesses are operating in a volatile environment that demands accountability and transparency of organisational processes," said Pedler.
"Companies looking to prosper and create competitive advantage require powerful software solutions like those within the SAP GRC suite, to deliver advanced reporting and facilitate effective decision-making."
According to Andrew Fox, director, Ecosystems Partner Group, SAP A/NZ, the solutions offered by Zer01 with SAP will be a strong focus for businesses in Australia in the years ahead.
