BodyGuardz are scratch-proof, clear, protective skins for the iPod, iPhone, mobile phones, GPS devices and electronic gadgets.

NLU Products, manufacturer of BodyGuardz has partnered with Cellnet as its Australian distributor to target retail, telco and B2B segments.

Paul Mapp, managing director of Dynamic Red, distributor of BodyGuardz in Australia, said Cellnet's strong distribution reach was one of the reasons for the partnership.

"Currently the majority of our business in Australia happens online," he said.

"The Cellnet agreement allows BodyGuardz to expand its reach in the channel and will greatly raise product awareness by bringing the brand and product lines directly in front of significant numbers of customers visiting retail stores each day."

BodyGuardz has won a number of international industry awards, including the iLounge 'iPod & iPhone Accessory of the Year 2008' in which it beat 1,500 competitor products to first place.

Michael Wallace general manager for Cellnet said it will distribute BodyGuardz product lines for a number of major handsets and music devices.

"BodyGuardz quality products align perfectly across our offering to our retail and telco customer base in Australia," he said.

"We are committed to delivering quality products and providing service and delivery that our customers notice is a step above the rest. BodyGuardz fits these criteria.'

The products are currently available through a number of retail outlets including Next Byte and selected Telstra shops, with the partnership to expand on this.

"Our growth and market penetration to date has exceeded our expectations and we know that working with Cellnet can only build on that success," added Mapp.

"We're confident Cellnet's knowledge and expertise of the Australian market will help to boost our growth, as we attract a wider customer base and more big-brand retailers."
