Customers can buy the iPhone 3G S from Vodafone's online store and at some of its stores from tomorrow.

Vodafone will celebrate the launch of the phone with its ambassadors Lara Bingle (pictured) and Giaan Rooney.

The mobile phone provider will offer the iPhone 3G S 16GB free on its $69 iPhone Cap (24 months), which includes $400 value, unlimited free Vodafone-to-Vodafone calls during the evening and on weekends and 1GB of included data downloads.

The iPhone 3G S 32GB is free on Vodafone's $114 Cap (24 months), which includes unlimited calls and a massive 2GB data.

Vodafone business customers can buy the iPhone 3G S on the corresponding $69 Single Business Cap and $114 Unlimited Single Business Cap, 24 month contracts.

Vodafone said it won't charge customers a monthly access fee to 'tether' its iPhone 3G S but will have the option to purchase additional data for tethering; 1GB for $24.95 or 2GB for $29.95, available from August 2009.

Until that time, any customer who wants to try the new tethering service can do so using the data allowance included on their plan, it said.

For the first time, Vodafone will also offer the iPhone to prepaid customers.

The 8GB iPhone 3G is available for $759 up front, the 16GB iPhone 3G S for $929 up front and then 32GB iPhone 3G S for $1129 up front.

Customers who buy and register their Vodafone Prepaid iPhone and mobile number before 31 August, will receive a bonus $500 Flexible Credit ($100 bonus Flexible Credit on each of their next 5 Prepaid Recharges on $49, $79 or $149 Flexi-caps).

They will hand deliver an iPhone 3G S to some lucky customers who buy it from www.store.vodafone.com.au.

Customers who buy the iPhone 3G S (16GB or 32GB) on a 24 month contract from www.store.vodafone.com.au before 30 June 2009 will also receive a bonus $100 credit.

The iPhone 3G S will be at more than 600 Vodafone stores and dealers from 26 June.

VHA will offer it through the 3 mobile brand from next month.
