The model unveiled the iPhone 3G S at the Vodafone store in Pitt Street, Sydney on Friday.

The 3G S is packed with new features including improved speed and performance, longer battery life, 3 megapixel camera and video recorder.

Nigel Dews, CEO of Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) said pricing for the iPhone 3G S from Vodafone is simple and easy to understand.

He said tethering is a lot more data intensive than internet browsing on the iPhone and customers can buy an additional data allowance if they plan to use the service.

"Since announcing the launch date of the iPhone 3G S in Australia, Vodafone has been inundated by tens of thousands of customers who have pre-registered their interest in the device, in-store and online," said Dews.

The Vodafone celebrity ambassadors who attended the launch were Bingle and Giaan Rooney. They also hand delivered an iPhone 3G S to some lucky customers who bought them via its website.

They will be stock in more than 600 Vodafone stores and dealers across Australia.

VHA will also offer the iPhone 3G S through the 3 mobile brand, from July.
