Jeremy Hulse, vice president of sales APAC at Marshal8e6, told CRN the vendor has partnered with Perth-based hosted application and service provider YOURasp to host MailMarshal as a service and manage its delivery to customers.
"YourASP has 10 years experience in hosting software, as a result it has a great level of experience and technical knowledge," Hulse said.
"They are a competent hosting provider.
"It [YOURasp] doesn't only deal in the security space, rather the company's hosting services cover a broad range of industries."
He said through MailMarshal as a Service, Marshal8e6 customers will have access to anti-spam, anti-virus, content filtering and image analysis technology.
The service utilises MailMarshal SMTP functionality and Defense in Depth engines for customers who prefer a hosted service to on-premise solutions.
The new service will be initially available through Marshal8e6's channel partners throughout Australia and New Zealand, said Hulse.
"There's significant ongoing revenue opportunities," he said.
"Resellers not only have the opportunity to sell the MailMarshal solution, they also have the opportunity to offer customers ongoing email security management and monitoring services, all conducted remotely."
Hulse said as SMEs become more conscious of reducing capital costs and minimising risk, they are looking for outsourced solutions that can be deployed with a minimum upfront cost.
MailMarshal as a Service is priced on a per user per month basis, he said.
Customers can choose from four different bundles and MailMarshal as a Service with anti-spam starting at $2.50 per user per month for up to 200users.
Bob Grove, regional sales manager at YOURasp said MailMarshal as a Service can be up and running within an hour.
"By providing the infrastructure and managing the back end, we remove any implementation and maintenance complexities for customers," he said.
