Adds another sub-distributor.

Logitech has appointed Altech Computers as a platinum sub-distributor, as part of a restructure of the peripheral vendor's Australian channel.

Altech will carry the complete Logitech range of keyboards, mice, peripherals and accessories, with stocks expected in all Australian warehouses before the end of the month.

George Saad, director of Logitech said the vendor has identified a number of markets which presented new opportunities.

"We are very serious about changing how we do business and who we do business with, but it has to be with the right companies with the right strategies," he said.

The vendor announced changes to its local channel strategy, in July this year.

At the time Saad told CRN he worked on a channel program to help the vendor identify where it can go with its resellers and how they can add value.

As part of the revamped program, Logitech created a Platinum section. Saad said the vendor refined its channel partners to include distributors, Ingram Micro and Synnex.

Platinum sub-distributors included; Bluchip Infotech, Anyware Computer Accessories, Mittoni and All Interactive Distribution and now Altech.

Antony Sheen, managing director at Altech said Logitech was pleased to be able to make [Logitech] available to resellers.

"The brand complements Altech's existing range and is a welcome addition to our catalogue," he said.
