A day of distribution deals.

Value added distributors WhiteGold, Lan1 and TechPlus have all announced new signings with networking vendors today.

AEP Networks has signed a distribution agreement with WhiteGold Solutions; Lan 1 has signed up DragonWave and TechPlus announced a deal with Expand Networks.

WhiteGold will distribute AEP's Netilla secure application access gateway product line, which is available as both a hardware appliance or a virtual appliance.

The deal will expand AEP's Australian and New Zealand presence while also catapulting WhiteGold  into uncharted territory such as secure remote application access for disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Also introducing a new product range, value-added distributor Lan 1 has signed an agreement with DragonWave, provider of carrier-grade packet microwave solutions that transmit broadband voice, video and data.

Lan 1's managing director Daniel Lee said DragonWave products are an entirely new market segment for Lan 1.

"Our resellers have had to find licensed links from other sources in the past, even if they were buying mesh or class licensed links from Lan 1. Now we can provide a complete wireless solution from WiFi, to point to point and point to multipoint," he said.

"Critically for our channel partners we can also provide design services and end-to-end support for them across the entire wireless portfolio," said Lee.

Meanwhile, WAN optimising vendor Expand Networks has appointed Victoria-based TechPlus Distribution, which specialises in bandwidth management and WAN (wide area network) monitoring.

TechPlus will distribute the entire Expand Networks product range to its resellers in Australia.

Paul Kern, managing director TechPlus Distribution said that the distie's new vendor partner "stands apart as the only vendor to provide WAN acceleration for both server based computing and virtual desktop infrastructure environments."
