Avnet Technology Solutions has inked a deal to distribute ShoreTel's unified communications products and services in Australia.
The agreement would result in "a major channel push" for the products, which include the forthcoming release of a ShoreTel for IBM Lotus Foundations solution.
That product was "of particular interest" to Avnet, the distributor's general manager for Australia Gavin Lawless said in a statement.
"With ShoreTel's launch of its ‘Major Accounts Program' specially designed to provide our partners with the resources necessary to dominate the enterprise space, we feel that Avnet's business model will perfectly align with our own strategy for aggressive growth in this market," said ShoreTel Asia Pacific managing director Vasili Triant.
"We believe this is a win-win partnership."
