Adam Internet has confirmed it is working with Ericsson to mitigate the risk of being hit by a software bug affecting some of the vendor's DSLAMs.
Managing director Scott Hicks said today the ISP has "been working with Ericsson and other ISPs to ensure we don't have a configuration which could be affected."
Netspace regulatory and carrier affairs manager Matthew Phillips has meanwhile told iTnews it had escaped any impact because it did not use the DSLAM model affected by the software bug.
"We haven't been affected by any Ericsson bugs recently," Phillips said. "We've had no problems in the past 12 months."
iTnews reported yesterday that the bug had been noticed by ISPs iiNet and Internode.
It was thought to be responsible for ADSL2+ broadband service issues on Internode's network in South Australia last week.
Internode managing director Simon Hackett said in a blog post that the ISP was "now looking at how best to upgrade the rest of the network, to guard against a further recurrence" of the service issue.
iiNet had already upgraded its DSLAMs earlier in the year after noticing the bug.
Ericsson Australia is yet to comment.
