Channel community pitches in to raise money for girl with crippling disease.

Distributor itX has raised $30,000 to help the family of an employee buy a customised wheelchair for their severely disabled daughter, Samantha.

The “Help Samantha” appeal started last November after she outgrew her baby pram.

The distie will raise more money for home modifications including a lift to help Samantha, pictured, get to and from the family flat.

Samantha suffered from Leigh`s Disease a rare disorder that destroyed the central nervous system and motor skills.

itX donated $10,000 and the balance came from staff, customers and vendors; itX raised more than $2000 at its Christmas cruise.

The appeal page was on the itX website www.itx.com.au/samantha.
