Launch event set for March 2.

The next version of the Apple iPad is expected to launch as early as next week, according to a report on the All Things Digital website. An industry insider who contacted the website claimed that the rumoured production delays are false. “[It’s] simply not true," the source said. The All Things Digital report was later supported by Reuters.com.

Apple will allegedly unveil the iPad 2 at a special launch event on March 2, which is roughly a year since the release of the original iPad. The new device is rumoured to have two inbuilt cameras, similar to the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, as well as a thinner design and a higher resolution display.
