Broad-based distributor Synnex has extended its relationship with HP, signing on to move the vendor’s range of notebooks as well as the Compaq nx6120 and nx8220 series.

The distributor joins Dicker Data and Ingram Micro on HP’s notebook distribution list. Synnex already distributes HP printers, consumables (including ink and toner products), and storage media products.

It also distributes ASUS, IBM and LG notebooks as well as its own Mitac range of Smartbooks.

In a statement, Martin Dare, HP’s Solutions Partner Organisation sales director, said: “For some time we have encountered considerable growth in our notebook offerings and consequently we need to provide the channel with extensive support to satisfy customer demand.”

Synnex boss Frank Sheu was not available for comment at press time.
