Could wi-fi array deliver services as good as the fixed line?

Wireless specialists Xirrus appointed Distribution Central specialist subsidiary NetWorld Systems to sell its high-speed wi-fi solutions in Australian and New Zealand.

"We were looking for a distribution partner with strong technical skills, the ability to support our focus on professional services, drive our partner program and complement our growth across ANZ,” said Xirrus country manager Joe Arcuri.

He said Distribution Central had an “impeccable reputation” for delivering products, services and support.

Distribution Central managing director Nick Verykios said Xirrus’ channel program rewarded partners and complemented the distributor's reseller services that included “pre-sales technical support, post-sales field support, configuration, renewal and asset management, training and education programs and channel marketing programs”.

Xirrus said its wi-fi array was the only such such system to deliver the "equivalent coverage, bandwidth, capacity, and distributed intelligence” as fixed-line services.

Last month, US vendor Ruckus partnered with Australian distributor inTechnology to tackle sectors such as education and finance. They said there was strong demand for Ruckus’ ZoneFlex technology, especially its adaptive antenna capabilities.
