Fear not Optimus 2X owners, the future is coming your way soon.

LG Optimus 2X owners may have been worried by Google’s silence around their Ice Cream Sandwich update plans. Worry no more, Android has just confirmed on Facebook that the Optimus 2X is due to receive the awesome Ice Cream Sandwich.

Sadly there’s no date to go with the announcement – but with the Galaxy Nexus out on November 17 and talk of the imminent Motorola RAZR and Xoom 2 being updated, we’re hopeful for a pre-Christmas rollout.
